Fatbike parts: how to find the right part for your bike

By the Sache Bikes workshop · updated 17-10-2026

Ordering a part for your fatbike might seem simple, but many bikes that look the same have different parts. A controller, display, or wiring harness from an older version often will not fit the new one, even if the bike has the same name. This guide explains what to check before ordering, so you get the right part the first time.

1. Find the exact brand and model

Start by knowing exactly which bike you have. The most popular brands in the Netherlands are Ouxi (V8, H9, C80, GT2000), Qmwheel (V20, V20 Pro, V30, S20), 7GO (EB2, EB3, EB4, EB8), and AGM. The model is usually indicated on the frame, the battery, or your purchase receipt.

We have a dedicated page for each brand: Ouxi parts, Qmwheel parts, 7GO and RSE parts, and AGM parts.

2. Check the version and year of manufacture

Many manufacturers update parts without changing the model name. For example, the Ouxi V8 and Qmwheel V20 have different versions of the controller and wiring harness, depending on the year of manufacture. That is why our product titles often include the year of manufacture, cable length, or version (1.0, 2.0, Pro).

3. Check the connector

For electrical parts (controller, motor, display, sensors, lights), the connector is the most important detail. Check:

  • the color of the motor connector (for example, red or black): a controller and motor with different connectors will not fit together without an adapter cable. Also read red or black motor connector;
  • the number of pins on lights, displays, and wiring harnesses (for example, 5 or 6 pins);
  • male or female, for intermediate and extension cables.

The quickest way to avoid making a mistake: take a photo of the connector on the part you want to replace.

4. Check the dimensions

For mechanical parts, dimensions are important: the diameter of the brake disc (160, 180, or 203 mm), the tire size (for example, 20x4.0), the number of teeth on the gears, or the shape of the brake pads. You will find this information in the product title or description. For tires and inner tubes, see fatbike tires.
