Choosing brakes and brake pads for your fatbike
An electric fatbike is heavy and fast: good brakes are the most important part for your safety.
Common signs: long braking distance, squealing brakes, brake lever reaching the handlebar, brake disc with grooves or scoring.
What to pay attention to before ordering
Compare the type of braking system (mechanical or hydraulic), the brand of the brake caliper (for example Zoom or Logan), the shape of the brake pads and the diameter of the brake disc (160, 180 or 203 mm). The compatible models are listed in the title of each product; if in doubt, message us via WhatsApp.
Tip: Replace the brake pads as soon as the brake material is thinner than 1-1.5 mm and do not wait until metal touches the disc.

How often should I replace the brake pads on the fatbike?
That depends on your weight, your routes and your riding style. If you ride daily in the city, check them at least every 1,000-2,000 km.
Sintered or organic brake pads?
Sintered brake pads last longer and can better withstand heat and wet conditions, ideal for heavy fatbikes. Organic brake pads are quieter.
