Brakes and brake pads Qmwheel S20: how to choose the right part
An electric fatbike is heavy and fast: good brakes are the most important part for your safety. The Qmwheel S20 (and S20 Pro) has a different frame than the V20, but many electric parts are the same.
Common signs that something is wrong: long braking distance, squealing brakes, brake lever touching the handlebar, grooved or warped brake disc.
What to look for before ordering
Compare the type of brake system (mechanical or hydraulic), brake caliper brand (for example Zoom or Logan), shape of the brake pads, and brake disc diameter (160, 180, or 203 mm). The S20 Pro display and controller have their own versions, for example with a black motor cable. Not sure? Send a photo via WhatsApp, and our specialists will check if the part fits.
Tip: Replace the brake pads as soon as the brake material is thinner than 1-1.5 mm, and do not wait until metal touches the disc.

That depends on your weight, routes, and riding style. If you ride daily in the city, check them at least every 1,000-2,000 km.
Sintered or organic brake pads?
Sintered brake pads last longer and handle heat and wet conditions better, making them ideal for heavy fatbikes. Organic brake pads are quieter.
