Which version fits your Qmwheel V20?
Many parts for the Qmwheel V20 come in multiple versions. They differ in year of manufacture, motor connector colour, number of pins or position on the bike. In this table you can see the main features for each product.
Unsure which version you have? Send a photo of the part and the connector via WhatsApp, and we will find out for you.
How to choose the brakes for the Qmwheel V20
An electric fatbike is heavy and fast: good brakes are the most important part for your safety. The Qmwheel V20 is one of the best-selling fatbikes and has been made in many versions since 2022, including V20 Pro, V20 Mini and V20 Cross.
Common signs that something is wrong: long braking distance, squeaking brakes, brake lever touching the handlebar, brake disc with grooves or play.
What to look for before ordering
Compare the type of brake system (mechanical or hydraulic), brand of the brake caliper (for example Zoom or Logan), shape of the brake pads and diameter of the brake disc (160, 180 or 203 mm). Depending on the year of manufacture, the V20 has a controller and motor with a red connector or with a black motor cable, and different cable lengths for the rear light. Unsure? Send a photo via WhatsApp, and our specialists will check if the part fits.
Tip: Replace the brake pads as soon as the brake material is thinner than 1-1.5 mm and do not wait until metal touches the disc.
Frequently asked questions about Qmwheel V20 brakes
How often should I replace the brake pads of the Qmwheel V20?
That depends on your weight, your routes and your riding style. If you ride daily in the city, check them at least every 1,000-2,000 km.
Sintered or organic brake pads?
Sintered brake pads last longer and can better withstand heat and wetness, ideal for heavy fatbikes. Organic brake pads are quieter.
