Koolux X9 headlight and taillight: what to look for before ordering
A good headlight and a good taillight ensure that you are seen in traffic and are mandatory in the dark. The Koolux X9 and X9 Pro are available with a single or dual battery, and therefore some parts differ.
Common signs that something is wrong: flickering light, headlight that does not turn on, turn signals or brake light that do not work.
What to look for before ordering
Compare the number of pins and the color of the connector (for example 3, 4 or 6 pins), male or female connector, turn signals or no turn signals, and mounting type. For the dual battery version, you need your own controller and distributor; the motor comes with a 3- or 9-pin connector. Not sure? Frequently asked questions about Koolux X9 lighting
Is lighting on a fatbike mandatory?
Yes: in the dark and in low visibility, you must have a white or yellow light at the front and a red light at the rear. Reflectors are also mandatory.
Is the Koolux X9 headlight connected to the battery?
On most fatbikes, the headlight gets power via the bike's wiring harness. That is why the connector must fit exactly.
