Most common causes

Battery empty or in deep sleep

A battery that has not been charged for a long time may shut itself off. Charge it fully for at least a few hours. View batteries for the Ouxi V8.

Battery not properly installed or lock switched off

Remove the battery and click it back into place. Check that the battery lock is switched to "on" and that the contacts are clean. View battery locks.

Faulty charger or charging port

Is the light on the charger not lit, or does it stay green while the battery is empty? Then the charger may be the problem. The Ouxi V8 charges with a 1-pin charger, the same as the H9, the C80 and the old Qmwheel V20 (2022-2023). View chargers.

Loose connector at the handlebars

Check the connector between the display and the wiring harness. Moisture or a partially loose connector is a common cause. View wiring harnesses for the Ouxi V8.

Faulty display or controller

Does the battery work (on another bike or meter) but everything remains off? Then the display or the controller is often to blame. The Ouxi V8 2.0 and 3.0 have the M5 display (old or new version, limited to 25 km/h). The V8 4.0 has the HC80 display. The V8 1.0 has its own display with a short cable and the V8 Ultra has a GT20 display. View displays for the Ouxi V8.

What you need to know about the Ouxi V8

  • The V8 1.0 has its own controller. Models from 2024-2025 have a controller with a black motor connector, while the V8 Pro and V8 Ultra have a new controller with a red connector.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Start simple: fully charge the battery, reinstall the battery, and check all connectors at the handlebars.
  2. Look at the display: note any error code or take a photo.
  3. Send us a photo of the display, the connector or the part via WhatsApp. We will tell you which part you need.
  4. Do it yourself or have it done: order the part, or make an appointment in The Hague or Zoetermeer. Your bike is often ready the same day.

Never work on the electronics while the battery is in the bike, and never open a battery yourself. Lithium batteries can be dangerous if damaged.
