Ouxi V8 Treadmill Support Not Working

The display works, the throttle maybe too, but when you pedal you get no assistance. In most cases, it is due to the pedal sensor or a sensor that blocks the assistance. Below you will read what you can check for each cause on your Ouxi V8, and which part you need.

Most common causes

Assistance level at 0

Sounds simple, but first check if the assistance on the display is set higher than 0.

Pedal sensor or magnet ring

The pedal sensor measures whether you are pedaling. If the magnet ring is crooked, is dirty or the sensor is broken, you will get no assistance. The V8 uses a 3-pin pedal sensor, the same as the C80 and H9 (not the one from the Qmwheel V20). View pedal sensors.

Pedal sensor intermediate cable

The cable between the controller and pedal sensor is low near the pedal crank and easily gets damaged. View wiring harnesses for the Ouxi V8.

Brake sensor gives signal

A brake sensor that stays stuck switches off the assistance. Squeeze both brakes firmly a few times and release. View brakes and brake sensors for the Ouxi V8.

Controller

If not a single sensor works anymore, the controller may be defective. The V8 1.0 has its own controller. Models from 2024-2025 have a controller with a black motor plug, the V8 Pro and V8 Ultra have a new controller with a red plug. View controllers for the Ouxi V8.

What you need to know about the Ouxi V8

  • The V8 1.0 has its own controller. Models from 2024-2025 have a controller with a black motor plug, the V8 Pro and V8 Ultra have a new controller with a red plug.
  • The Ouxi V8 2.0 and 3.0 have the M5 display (old or new variant, limited to 25 km/h). The V8 4.0 has the HC80 display. The V8 1.0 has its own display with a short cable and the V8 Ultra has a GT20 display.
  • The Ouxi V8 charges with a 1-pin charger, the same as the H9, the C80 and the old Qmwheel V20 (2022-2023).

Step-by-step plan

  1. Start simple: fully charge the battery, replace the battery, check all plugs at the handlebar.
  2. Look at the display: note any error code or take a photo.
  3. Send us a photo of the display, the plug or the part via WhatsApp. We will tell you which part you need.
  4. Do it yourself or have it done: order the part, or make an appointment in The Hague or Zoetermeer. Often your bike is ready the same day.

Never work on the electronics while the battery is in the bike, and never open a battery yourself. Lithium batteries can be dangerous if damaged.
